Let's give credit to Zoro who at least managed to bleed Kaido, while Luffy kept spam punching him with no effect in the end. I also wish we could've at least seen Kaido hybrid form, but the dust was in the way.

Yes zoro did a amazing job cutting through his scales but you cannot compare that to luffy cuz luffy is damaging kaido from inside which we cannot see but it's affecting kaido a lot and using sharp objects is better to penetrate hard scales than using brute force or punches.

ryou is taxing and so is bounce man form. Luffy is an idiot but not that much when it comes to fights, he already fought kaido and knows that he is tanky so he wont risk getting drained before making sure kaido is taking damage or at least getting tired. That gattling would have speed up bounce man time limit and might have ended mid way.

I was under the assumption that he was infusing his attacks with ryuo the entire time, in order to even do any damage to kaido.

without spoiling anything, I know that it looked like kaido took the beating of his life, but actually the man is as chill as a cucumber. Is until much much later that luffy becames a real threat and kaido gets very serious.

Oh I know, I read the manga, but I don't actually think it's taxing to use ryuo as I see it as another implementation of how to use haki, and without it at all Kaido would actually be immune to any of the damage rather than taking even the slightest of damage from Luffy.

oh a manga reader, got it, there are anime onlys in the comment section so i try to be carefull. But the thing about ryuo being taxing is not something that I came up with, its already been mentioned that it is, because ryuo is basically "color of arms" haki but being used to destroy internally and "color of arms" depletes the user stamina the more you use it, thats how it works, and luffy gear 4th is basically him being convered from head to toes in "color of arms" so adding another layer of haki to his already convered in haki body is going to deplete his stamina way faster than what bounce man already does. So luffy does use ryuo later but at the very least not in the first fight, I´ll have to check the other fights to give a proper answer as to when he do use it.

I won't say anything I agree zoro showed impressive feats on the roof and some of the best ones are yet to come but penetrating a scale is much is with sharp objects luffy made kaido spit out blood from his mouth with his first attack. Luffy did the most damage to kaido on the roof and gave his most and then he became a burden and that too not for long

except Zoro isn't the first target and still wouldve died if he didnt get help from others when he missed an attack with enma :)

Luffy's punches did work. I mean, he managed to knock out Kaido even for a little bit. Though that "little bit" of damage came with an expensive price.

I they showed his hybrid in the end then there would be no hype and as a manga reader I can say this for every one of us that we would be pissed if they showed it now cuz that would be a wrong adaptation. We waited for 5-6 weeks for his hybrid reveal in the manga

they showed exactly what was in the manga a silhoute. kaido's hybrid wasn't shown until a month later in the manga

gotta agree with him man, i read the manga instead of watching the anime, it works on 1.25 speed but the studdering is REALLY annoying, its a shame to see that even the first 200 was better.

lol what the fuck. did they really just spend 2 minutes showing luffy punching kaido... after an almost 5 minutes intro at that. the first word of the episode didnt even come out until 8 minutes into the episode. last couple of episodes was so epic. the quality and story telling was so good but it seems we are going back to usual. cant wait to see kaido's new form though. kaido for me had the most epic entrance on the show so far.

there's 5 attacks per episodes, lots of running around and screaming unnecessary dialogue at each other. OP fans are so easy to please these days. Kaido is a freaking sponge and his attacks hardly ever hit, Big Mom is worst than useless at least the animation is nice if not overbearing at times.

I mean I don't think it's slow but it's more of repetitive. They repeat the same shots over and over again to stretch the episode.

personally I watch 10 seconds and skip 5 minutes every episode and never miss a thing
